Information on Vascular Disease
Aortic Aneurysm (abnormal enlargement of the main artery in the abdomen): Most people with aortic aneurysms have no symptoms until it ruptures, hence the name “the silent killer”. Infrequently, one may experience back or abdominal pain.
Cerebrovascular Disease (blocked arteries in the neck supplying the brain)
Symptoms Include:
**TIA symptoms resolve, lasting less than 24 hours. TIA’s often occur prior to a complete stroke.
Peripheral Arterial Disease (blocked arteries in the leg)
Symptoms Include:
Throracic Outlet Syndrome - TOS (Neurogenic/Venous/Arterial)

Varicose Veins (readily visible distended veins along the legs): Varicose veins may be symptomatic. When symptomatic, one may experience pain, tiredness, and a feeling of heaviness of the legs. The above symptoms are worsened by periods of standing.
Venous Disease (poor vein circulation in the legs)
